Nightmare Vexy I listen to this album to remind myself to never give up hope. No matter how dire things may be. Fav songs are ignorance intolerance discrimination and hate. Because at the end of hate there’s a string pulled. Someone needing help. It sounds like to me at least. Reach out to others and stay safe. Hope this helps. ❤️

about

Suffering comes in many forms, though few forms are worse than those that arises through hate.

When people are kept ignorant to the world around them, when they are raised in narrow communities without good enough education to learn the facts of the world, or learn how to have empathy towards others different from one self, horrid things are allowed to happen.

Stereotyping comes first, seeing people different from a perceived "normal" as another entity than humanity all together. Dehumanizing generalizations start to normalize itself in every day speech, in the culture, in the news, and in the end in their own perception of reality.

Thus follows intolerance, with "the people" looking down on minorities, "the other" as they proceed them as, and seeing them as a threat to their way of life, ignoring the actual issues in favor of an easy scapegoat. This inevitably leads to discrimination and oppression, and once this irrational fear is allowed to grow like the cancer it is, violence will follow suit.

However, while hatred is a powerful and dangerous thing, we need to make sure to never lose hope. Because in the end, hate will never win, as it is an illogical reaction of fear and stupidity. We can defeat it in the end.

It won't be easy, but through protests, through fellowship, through love, through learning and informing, through compassion, and through hope, we can all work together for a brighter future. A future for all of us.

Fight the hate, keep up the hope
